Infusio Stomachica — Formula Comfortis
I. DESCRIPTION
A calming herbal tisane crafted to soothe the digestive tract and restore post-meal comfort.
Demulcent, anti-inflammatory, carminative and aromatic-floral botanicals work in concert to ease tension, protect delicate mucosae, and encourage a gentle digestive rhythm.
II. COMPOSITION
Matricaria recutita — Antispasmodic, carminative, anti-inflammatory
Althaea officinalis — Demulcent, muco-protective, soothing to mucosa
Filipendula ulmaria — Antacid, anti-inflammatory, digestive tonic
Calendula officinalis — Healing, anti-inflammatory, mucosal repair
Rosa damascena — Aromatic relaxant, mild antispasmodic, harmonising to the gut–heart axis
III. INDICATIONS
Mild digestive discomfort, bloating, nervous indigestion, emotional or stress-related stomach tension, and cold or sluggish digestion.
IV. MATERIA MEDICA NOTES
Chamomile — Eases spasms of the gut wall; softens tension with warmth and sweetness.
Marshmallow — Lays down a protective balm upon irritated mucosae.
Meadowsweet — Cooling and easing where acidity bites.
Calendula — Restores tissue integrity; encourages quiet repair.
Rose — Settles the solar plexus where emotion meets digestion; uplifts mood while easing constriction and discomfort.
V. ADMINISTRATION
Infuse 1–2 teaspoons per cup in freshly boiled water.
Cover and steep 10–15 minutes to draw the soothing mucilage and subtle floral aromatics.
Drink warm after meals or as needed.
VI. SAFETY
Avoid in known allergy to Asteraceae plants (Chamomile, Calendula).
Use caution in salicylate sensitivity (Meadowsweet).
