The Spring into Summer
Collection
By the time the light begins to lengthen, something has already shifted. Appetite. Sleep. A restlessness that is hard to name but impossible to ignore. The body, like the land, is ready to begin again — and it does not wait for the calendar to agree. The restlessness is not impatience. It is neurological — a serotonin system recalibrating after three months of winter scarcity. The body does not ease into spring. It tips. This is the oldest renewal there is. A quickening in the blood, sap rising, everything that has been held in quiet readiness beginning to move. Each tonic, balm, infusion, and mist in this collection is timed to that movement. Heritage herbs chosen for what this season specifically calls forth — the liver awakening, the lymph beginning to flow, the nervous system finding its summer rhythm again. Botanicals selected for their therapeutic validity, their deep seasonal intelligence, and the sensory grace they bring to the body’s own turning. What you do in March and April determines how you arrive in July. The gardener tends the ground before the growing season, not during it. Summer vitality is prepared for — in these weeks, before anything is yet in flower. Formulated and hand-crafted in small batches as the season turns. Each tonic is prepared for short-term seasonal use — a gentle botanical intervention timed to the body’s own transition. For longer-term or more complex support, consultations are available in person at Tonic, or by video or voice call.

I — Cleanse To stimulate digestion, encourage bile flow, and clear what winter left behind.
Herbal Extract Image coming soon
Cleanse · Spring Emergence Spring Digestive Bitters Organic Herbal Extracts · 200ml
To stimulate digestion, encourage bile flow, and clear what winter left behind.
Cynara scolymus leads the formula, promoting cholagogue activity and hepatic support; Taraxacum officinale radix contributes its long-standing role as a digestive and liver tonic; Arctium lappa radix provides traditional alterative support; Berberis vulgaris delivers a concentrated bitter stimulus at the centre of the blend; and Citrus aurantium pericarp softens the edge and supports gastric tone. Firmly bitter with a light aromatic citrus finish. Each herb is extracted by slow maceration to retain the full spectrum of bitter principles.
Dose Take 5–10 ml in a little water, 10–15 minutes before meals, twice daily. Hold briefly on the tongue before swallowing.
Ritual Allow the bitterness to rest on the tongue before swallowing. The cephalic phase response begins at the taste receptor — initiating salivation, gastric secretion, and bile flow before the first meal arrives. Favour bitter and sour foods at the start of meals: rocket, chicory, a squeeze of lemon. Eat warm. Reduce sugar and alcohol. Eat without screens — the cephalic phase depends on full sensory attention.
Ingredients Cynara scolymus, Taraxacum officinale radix, Arctium lappa radix, Berberis vulgaris, Citrus aurantium pericarp. The 500ml bottle is offered for those already familiar with the tonic, or as a family-size preparation to share through the season.

II — Restore To steady the nervous system and rebuild depleted reserves as energy begins its return.
Herbal Extract Image coming soon
Restore · Nervine Support Nervine Recharge Tonic Organic Herbal Extracts · 200ml
To steady the nervous system and rebuild depleted reserves as energy begins its return.
Avena sativa (milky tops) provides trophorestorative nourishment to exhausted nervous tissue; Tilia cordata and Melissa officinalis encourage relaxation without heaviness; Rosa damascena offers mild circulatory and emotional balance; and Verbena officinalis introduces a light bitter–nervine interface that anchors the formula. Softly bittersweet with floral and green notes; warm and gently aromatic. Each herb extracted by slow maceration to preserve volatile and nutritive constituents.
Dose Take 5–10 ml in water, twice daily. Well suited to morning and early afternoon use.
Ritual Take during a natural pause — not between tasks, but instead of one. Before swallowing, sit. Settle the spine. Breathe in for four counts, hold briefly, exhale for eight. The extended exhale activates the parasympathetic response. Three cycles. The tonic then works on tissue already beginning to release.
Ingredients Avena sativa, Tilia cordata, Rosa damascena, Melissa officinalis, Verbena officinalis. The 500ml bottle is offered for regular users of the tonic, or where the formula is shared within the household over the course of the season.

Dose Infuse 1–2 teaspoons in freshly boiled water for 10–15 minutes. Drink 1–3 cups daily, warm. Begin at the first signs of seasonal transition and continue through spring.

Topical Preparation Image coming soon
Radiate · Skin Support Tonic Face Balm Topical Preparation · 50g
To reinforce the skin barrier, maintain hydration, and support gentle facial lymphatic tone through the seasonal transition.
Avocado, jojoba, rosehip, apricot kernel, and evening primrose oils provide a balanced lipid profile; shea butter forms a protective matrix; Centella asiatica and Calendula officinalis support skin resilience and repair; Symphytum officinale contributes traditional connective tissue support. A considered aromatic blend of geranium, palmarosa, myrtle, cedarwood, petitgrain, and lemon maintains equilibrium without heaviness. Soft green-floral with a faint citrus leaf brightness and a dry finish; smooth, slow-melting, and readily absorbed.
Apply A small amount to damp skin, morning or evening.
Ritual Work in three passes, always outward and downward — toward the cervical nodes at jaw and neck. Forehead to temples. Beside the nose, out along the cheekbones to the ears. Chin along the jawline, then down the sides of the neck. Press with the flat of the finger. Slow enough to feel the tissue warm. Direction matters more than pressure.
Ingredients Persea gratissima, Simmondsia chinensis, Rosa canina, Prunus armeniaca, Oenothera biennis, Butyrospermum parkii, Centella asiatica, Calendula officinalis, Symphytum officinale, essential oils of Pelargonium graveolens, Cymbopogon martinii, Myrtus communis, Cedrus atlantica, Citrus aurantium var. amara (leaf), Citrus limon FCF.

IV — Breathe To moderate histamine response and keep the airways clear through pollen season.
Loose Herbal Tea Image coming soon
Breathe · Seasonal Support Organic Hay Fever Tea Loose Herbal Tea · 12g
To moderate histamine response and keep the airways clear through pollen season.
Urtica dioica provides traditional antihistamine support; Sambucus nigra flos maintains mucosal comfort and resilience; Matricaria recutita reduces irritation along the respiratory tract; and Althaea flos offers demulcent protection to the throat and upper airways. Soft and floral with a faint green note; the liquor runs clear pale yellow.
Dose Infuse 1–2 teaspoons in hot water for 10 minutes. Drink 2–3 cups daily during the season. Begin before peak pollen exposure — consistent use gives better results than reactive use.
Ritual Take warm. Before drinking, hold the cup beneath the nose and breathe slowly — four counts in through the nose, six out through the mouth. Three or four times before the first sip. The steam carries volatile constituents directly to the mucosal lining; the infusion then works from within.
Ingredients Urtica dioica, Sambucus nigra flos, Matricaria recutita, Althaea flos.

V — Revive A warming arnica salve to ease muscular stiffness and support recovery as the body returns to movement.
Topical Preparation Image coming soon
Revive · Muscular Recovery Muscle Salve Topical Preparation · 120g
A warming arnica salve to ease muscular stiffness, encourage local circulation, and support recovery as the body returns to movement.
Arnica montana provides its long-established action on bruised and strained muscle; Symphytum officinale contributes traditional tissue repair support; sweet almond oil carries the preparation with good glide and skin compatibility. Essential oils of cypress, marjoram, cedarwood, and myrtle offer gentle circulatory and antispasmodic activity, with an optional trace of rosemary cineole. Green-herbal with light conifer and a soft cineole warmth; firm at rest, softening on contact for controlled application.
Apply Massage a small amount into the affected area as required. Not for use on broken skin.
Ritual Warm the salve between the palms before applying — this releases the volatile oils and begins the circulatory response. Apply with long strokes toward the heart. Work the perimeter first, then move inward. Where deeper tension holds, use the heel of the hand with sustained pressure. Finish with three slow strokes from the base of the muscle to the top. Cover and rest for twenty minutes.
Ingredients Prunus amygdalus dulcis, Arnica montana, Symphytum officinale, Cera alba, essential oils of Cupressus sempervirens, Origanum majorana, Cedrus atlantica, Myrtus communis, Rosmarinus officinalis ct. cineole (optional).

VI — Lift To refresh, clear, and restore — a moment of sensory reset at any point in the day.
Three hydrosol blends, each distilled from freshly harvested botanicals and timed to the spring and summer season. Mist over face and neck, onto linens, or into the air — to mark a transition, clear a space, or simply pause. For all three: mist, close the eyes, breathe once — slowly. That is enough.
Hydrolat Mist Image coming soon
Hydrolat Mist · Lift Green Spring Mist Orange blossom and angelica — bright, floral, and quietly grounding. Suited to the start of a yoga or movement practice: mist across the face and crown of the head before beginning. The orange blossom grounds attention; the angelica sharpens it. Can also be misted into a room before meditation — two or three sprays into the centre of the space, allowed to settle before you sit. Citrus aurantium var. amara (flower) hydrosol, Angelica archangelica hydrosol. 30ml · £6.00

Hydrolat Mist · Lift Refreshing Lymphatic Mist Rose, orange blossom, and Greek sage — cooling, lightly toning, and clarifying. Apply along the jaw and down the sides of the neck, following the line of the cervical lymph nodes: hold six inches from the skin and mist in a slow sweep from ear to collarbone on each side. Most useful after travel, prolonged screen time, or heat. Can be applied over light make-up without disturbance. Rosa damascena hydrosol, Citrus aurantium var. amara (flower) hydrosol, Salvia triloba hydrosol. 30ml · £6.00

Hydrolat Mist · Lift Lavender Sleep Mist A single note. Lavender alone, undiluted by anything else. Two or three sprays onto the pillow and the inside of the duvet, ten minutes before bed — allowing time for the hydrosol to settle and the lavender to open fully. A single spray across the chest or back of the neck if sleep is interrupted in the night. Used consistently, the olfactory association builds: the scent becomes a signal, and the transition toward sleep begins before the head meets the pillow. Lavandula angustifolia hydrosol. 30ml · £6.00
