Seasonal Tonics · Autumn into Winter 2026

The Autumn into Winter Collection

By five the light is going. Something in the body registered it before the mind caught up: a hunger for heavier food, a pull towards earlier nights, a stillness that is hard to name but impossible to argue with. The days are drawing in, and so, quietly, are we.

The tiredness is not idleness. This is wintering, and it is active work: the body reads the length of the night and answers it, sleep comes earlier and asks for longer, and the immune system settles into its winter footing.

Each tonic, balm, infusion and mist in this collection is made for the season. Heritage herbs chosen for what winter asks of us: defences gathered early, sleep allowed to deepen, warmth kept in the muscles, the skin held against wind and dry heat. Botanicals selected for their long traditional use, and the steadiness they bring through the colder months.

What you do now shapes how you come through to spring. A cold is easier met on the first day than the fifth, and sleep is easier kept than recovered. This is a season for rest, and for reflection.

Before you begin

A practitioner’s range

I make every remedy in this range myself, as a practitioner, for short-term use with the everyday complaints of the season: a cold coming on, broken sleep, a stiff back, a tight chest. They are prepared for patients of the practice, to order, for collection or delivery.

Anything longer-standing or more complex is better looked at in a consultation.

New to the practice

Please complete the health questionnaire before your first order: eight questions, five minutes, no charge. I’ll read it and come back to you, either with what will suit you this season or with a suggestion that we meet first.

Buying for a child

Children’s doses are given for ages 7 and over. If you are buying for a child, please complete the health questionnaire first, or book a consultation, so the dose can be matched to them. The Little Ones Comfort Balm is for babies from three months.
